FWIW, a local TT driver was pulled over for a loud exhaust. dusting a CHP didn't help ;-). He tested a few exhausts:

Results in dB(A-weighted) at 20", 45 deg angle, 4800 rpm
All had Greg's downpipes.

Labree/High-flow cats/Sebring 93 dB(A)
2.5"B&B/test pipes/ 96 dB(A)
LaBree/Resonators/High-flow cats/Sebring 89 dB(A)
Stillen/High-flow cats 85 dB(A)

Although he barely passed at the local referee (reflective location), he still had to pay $10 bucks and waste time. As stated in SEMA's info, the CHP is apparently unaware of the law.

PS, The local paper had a large front page story about police harassment. The CHP says loud bikes and raised 4x4's are next. Wish I could vote these guys out.
